Following last year’s hugely successful Polo Edition, Royal Salute is launching a second 21 Year Old limited edition into its Polo Collection.

A Global Travel Retail exclusive until September 2018, the Royal Salute Beach Polo Edition is inspired by the sport of beach polo and makes an ideal keepsake for travellers looking to treasure their own beachside memories.

Like its predecessor, the Beach Polo Edition is endorsed by long-time Royal Salute World Polo Ambassador and former captain of the England Polo Team, Malcolm Borwick. With his signature and iconic red helmet featured on the packaging, the porcelain flagon within is designed in a striking shade of deep blue to evoke typical beach polo tournaments, blue skies and the sea.

Within the Travel Trail, evocative displays at point of sale in duty free will allow travellers to discover Royal Salute and encourage Scotch whisky fans to take the plunge into a whole new world of whisky.

Conjuring up the lingering bonfires, salty winds and warm seaside air synonymous with the sport, the limited edition has been expertly crafted by Royal Salute Director of Blending Sandy Hyslop. The result is an outstanding new expression that features a tantalising smoky flavour with soft peaty tones, rich fruits and sweet honey.

Royal Salute Marketing Director, Mathieu Deslandes, comments: “Royal Salute has a longstanding affinity with polo; we share values with the noble game of honour, skill and integrity, and are proud to support more than 10 international tournaments annually. Beach polo embodies all the qualities of the traditional sport, which is why it’s a natural fit for our brand, however, it is slightly more playful fun, which is an exciting space for us to be in. We’re thrilled to add another exceptional expression to our Polo Collection, and our Director of Blending Sandy Hyslop has done a remarkable job in creating something new and different, that still has all the prestigious hall-marks of Royal Salute.”

The Royal Salute 21 Year Old Beach Polo Edition launched as a Travel Retail exclusive on 1st July 2018 in some Asian airports and will be selectively available in the rest of Travel Retail and domestic markets globally from September 2018 for a limited time, at select luxury whisky retailers around the world.
