The Glenlivet is marking Dubai Duty Free\u2019s (DDF) 35th anniversary with a limited celebratory 35 year old whisky, the first ever release of a whisky that age by The Glenlivet. Exclusive to DDF, just 35 bottles of the rare and highly aged whisky have been created to honour the special relationship cultivated between The Glenlivet and the retailing space.<\/p>\n

Available from December 2018, each special edition is individually numbered denoting the rarity of the precious 35 year old aged liquid within. Protected by a prestigious hand-crafted wooden box marked \u2018Dubai Duty Free Exclusive\u2019, each unique pack includes a signed letter from world-renowned and award-winning Master Distiller Alan Winchester. A special single malt released as a limited edition in homage of the anniversary, the fine and sophisticated whisky is expected to become a discerning collector\u2019s item.<\/p>\n

Master Distiller, Alan Winchester, comments: \u201cBefitting of this anniversary and in celebration of our long lasting relationship with Dubai Duty Free, we matured this exclusive edition for over 35 years, in a hand-selected cask carefully chosen for its rich character and exceptional quality. Crafted under the watchful eye of our team of artisans, only 35 bottles have ever been produced, with its rarity equalled only by its quality.\u201d<\/p>\n

Having lain undisturbed for over three decades, the oak cask adds complex layers of flavour, aroma, colour and texture to The Glenlivet\u2019s signature distillery character. The result of this unhurried maturation is a beautifully balanced whisky, teasing ripe peach, sweet pear and strawberry jam notes on the nose before gracing the palate with notes of luscious tropical sweet kiwi, honey dew melon and a hint of cinnamon with ginger biscuits. A long, sweet lingering finish with a touch of spice leaves a lasting taste experience to be savoured. A whisky full of character and richness that is worth taking the time to experience unhurried \u2013 just as it was made.<\/p>\n

As part of the celebrations, The Glenlivet will host an exclusive event in partnership with Esquire at Celebrities, One & Only Royal Mirage, Dubai. On the 10th December 2018, a select number of local influencers and industry experts will be invited to experience an intimate six course dinner and tasting with key members of The Glenlivet team to commemorate this landmark milestone.<\/p>\n
