R\u00e9my Cointreau Global Travel Retail has partnered with China\u2019s leading travel retailer China Duty Free Group (CDFG) to open Asia\u2019s first standalone airport pop-up store from the House of R\u00e9my Martin. Until the end of June, travellers passing through Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport can immerse themselves in a unique R\u00e9my Martin experience, aimed at cultivating the ever-expanding community of fine cognac connoisseurs in Asia.<\/p>\n

In China, R\u00e9my Martin cognac is known as \u201cR\u00e9n T\u00f3u Ma\u201d (\u4eba\u5934\u9a6c): the centaur.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A NEW MILESTONE FOR R\u00c9MY MARTIN<\/strong>
\nThe eye-catching pop-up is located at the heart of the departures concourse in Hangzhou Xiaoshan, adjacent to the new CDFG main store, which opened in December 2018. As a buzzing travel hub serving one of the most vibrant and prosperous cities in China, Hangzhou Xiaoshan grew passenger traffic by +12.6% last year, according to Airports Council International, to now rank as one of the fastest growing airports in Asia.<\/p>\n

AN IRRESISTIBLE INVITATION<\/strong>
\nDesigned to attract, excite and engage travellers, the pop-up showcases the R\u00e9my Martin range of Fine Champagne cognacs, with a focus on the iconic R\u00e9my Martin XO. The elegant 36m2 space features hardwood floors and oak panels, adorned with shimmering champagne gold finishes. A golden Centaur statue welcomes guests into the House of the Centaur, where they begin their exploration of R\u00e9my Martin\u2019s exceptional roots. The dynamic greeting area was decorated with a special Chinese New Year theme over the festive period, that has transitioned into a R\u00e9my Martin Club showpiece today.<\/p>\n

A JOURNEY FOR THE SENSES<\/strong>
\nMoving through the space, guests are treated to a multi-sensorial nosing and tasting experience. The tasting table is the centrepiece, featuring an opulent offering of grapes, walnuts and white roses, fresh fruit and chalk stones, dried figs and apricot, cinnamon and cloves – a veritable feast for the eyes to whet the appetite before indulging in the sophisticated flavors and aromas of super-premium R\u00e9my Martin XO. A dedicated team will guide travellers to discover all the depths and nuances of R\u00e9my Martin\u2019s prestigious cognacs with exquisite food pairings.<\/p>\n
