Much in the news over past weeks – Rihanna’s LVMH fashion brand FENTY has landed – here are some of the first looks…<\/p>\n

THIS IS FENTY<\/strong>
\nFenty challenges the rules of fashion- the maison forms the staples of a wardrobe. Born in Paris, made in Italy and France, Fenty lives online. Through this digital flagship, special edition releases are available on “See-Now-Wear-Now” model and will express a new facet of a woman and her wardrobe.<\/p>\n

RELEASE 5-19<\/strong>
\nThe debut of FENTY, Release 5-19 establishes the attitude, statement pieces, and materials of the Maison. Tailoring is of central importance as suiting, dressing, and shirts fit close to the body and emphasized by details that span the feminine and the masculine. Elsewhere, Japanese denim is introduced as signature for the Maison, and is rendered in sharp corset-dresses, constructed, oversized jackets, and straight fit and pleated jeans.<\/p>\n

For accessories, FENTY establishes eyewear and shoes as a central focus; in its premiere style the sunglasses turn into masks with exaggerated volumes, while footwear is sharply pointed and seen in strong colours with exposing cutouts.<\/p>\n

Lastly, FENTY introduces its fashion jewellery line with a game-changing way of wearing ear jewels.<\/p>\n

ROBYN RIHANNA FENTY CEO & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR<\/strong>
\nFounded by Robyn Rihanna Fenty with LVMH in 2019, FENTY reflects her own personal style, character, and experiences. Each Release from the Maison explores several different fascinations that when combined reveal new facets of womanhood and the wardrobe itself.<\/p>\n

FENTY creates a visual homage to photographer Kwame Brathwaite for the Maison\u2019s debut, Release 5-19. The son of Bajan parents, Brathwaite was a fundamental force of the Black is Beautiful movement of 1960s and 1970s Harlem, New York. Serendipitously, the pioneering documentarian shares a surname with Robyn Rihanna Fenty’s maternal family.<\/p>\n

Rediscovered from his archives, Kwame\u2019s striking images speak to natural beauty and boundless strength. Juxtaposed with portraits of black women and men by British photographer Jack Davison today, FENTY establishes a dialogue between the past and present while championing diversity, femininity, and the power of black women and men.<\/p>\n
