Glenfiddich has redesigned and renamed its core range of single malts in an effort to \u2018entice\u2019 new drinkers to Scotch whisky.<\/p>\n

The Speyside distillery\u2019s 12- and 15-year-old whiskies will be renamed \u2018Our Original Twelve\u2019 and \u2018Our Solera Fifteen\u2019, in what brand owner William Grant & Sons said is a nod to its original expression, and \u2018innovative\u2019 solera process.<\/p>\n

The new design aims to depict the brand\u2019s Speyside home, with a \u2018v\u2019-shaped valley cut into the face of the glass to give a \u201cmore chiselled profile\u201d. The brand\u2019s stag symbol is embossed in gold within the \u2018v\u2019, with founder William Grant\u2019s signature featured on the bottle top.<\/p>\n

The new designs were created by east London design agency Here Design. Full details of the redesign of the 18-year-old Glenfiddich have not yet been disclosed.<\/p>\n

The Scotch producer claimed its new bottle design for Glenfiddich \u2018creates standout\u2019, and will \u2018appeal to current drinkers as well as entice those around the world who are new to the brand and category\u2019.<\/p>\n

Claudia Falcone, Glenfiddich global brand director, said: \u2018We wanted to emphasise Glenfiddich\u2019s special provenance and unique heritage with this stylish new design, drawing cues from the special place where our liquid is produced.\u2019<\/p>\n

Its makeover follows that of The Glenlivet, which unveiled its own \u2018bold\u2019 redesign<\/a> last month to \u2018embrace the next generation of single malt drinkers\u2019.<\/p>\n

Glenfiddich\u2019s new bottles will be introduced to the UK and US from June 2019, with the new-look \u2018Small Batch 18 Year Old\u2019 released in 2020.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
