Gucci steps back in time with a retro editorial-style backdrop for its new Fall\/Winter 2019 campaign.<\/p>\n

Gucci has unveiled an editorial-inspired campaign titled ‘Pr\u00eat \u00c0 Porter’, the luxury Italian brand enlists fashion photographer Glen Luchford, who captures the latest Gucci offerings in street style shots, runway images and studio portraits.<\/p>\n

Creative director Alessandro Michele brings the runway designs to life which include a statement array of styles such as sequinned embellished gowns, tailored suiting and heavy coats. Jonathan Kaye has styled the campaign in a very vintage feel, bringing a classic magazine to life.<\/p>\n

The campaign pays homage to the evolution of pr\u00eat-\u00e0-porter through four decades, from the 1950s to the 1980s, a period when ready-to-wear was at its creative peak before the rise of the internet and fast fashion.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fabula of fashion, however, begins at the drawing table, then moves to the workshops, during fittings, trials and fault finding,\u201d Gucci stated in a press release about the campaign. \u201cIt is a tale of manual and material skills, the result of a specific know-how that today we tend to discount, to take for granted.\u201d<\/p>\n

The models are dressed to the nines, sporting glamorous Gucci ensembles and accessories, with hair done by Paul Hanlon and Thomas De Kluyver on makeup.<\/p>\n
