Danish fashion house Day Birger Et Mikkelsen<\/strong> has opened its second flagship shop at Copenhagen Airport<\/strong>, featuring its \u2018special concept\u2019 of presenting customers with multiple sensory level experiences, while its existing shop is set to be converted into a DAY Accessories shop this summer, offering scarves, bags, jewellery and other items.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are proud to be the first location of the brand new DAY<\/strong> concept store, a place where people\u2019s senses are awakened at several levels,\u201d said Lise Ryevad, Director, Airport Sales, at Copenhagen Airports A\/S. \u201cIt is important to us to give our passengers an exciting experience every time they visit Copenhagen Airport<\/a> and the new DAY store very much lives up to that objective.\u201d<\/p>\n

The DAY concept store, which is described as \u2018a place where people\u2019s senses are awakened at several levels,\u2019 according to Lise Ryevad, Director, Airport Sales, Copenhagen Airports A\/S.<\/p>\n

East meets west \u2018with a special twist of Scandinavia\u2019 is how the store fusion and flavour is described, as Keld Mikkelsen, founder and Chairman of DAY explained: \u201cWe find inspiration from all the places in the world we visit; it shows in all our collections. That made the opening of the large DAY flagship store at the centre of the shopping area at Copenhagen Airport a logical step as it brings us close to where it all started.<\/p>\n

The new DAY store at Copenhagen Airport features a red terrazzo floor from Italy laid in a herringbone pattern that is designed to create a sense of soft waves, while the ceiling has been constructed to resemble \u2018a bright floating cloud\u2019 with a luminous DAY pattern in the middle.<\/p>\n

DAY\u2019s collections include the lines Day Main Line, 2nd Day and Day Home, which are sold in more than a thousand shops in 25 countries worldwide. The new store is located between Terminal 3 and Nytorv \u2013 after security and Gebr. Heinemann<\/a>\u2019s duty and tax free store.<\/p>\n
