Each spring, as a tribute to the Hanami ritual in Japan, the fresh and floral Cherry Blossom fragrance will return with an exceptional, limited and numbered edition.<\/p>\n

This year is an especially outstanding occasion, as it marks the 170th anniversary of the iconic Bee Bottle. For its precious 2023 Mill\u00e9sime, Guerlain has asked Les Ateliers Vermont, a prestigious Parisian embroidery house, to create the magical adornment of its Cherry Blossom Bee Bottle.<\/p>\n

ADMIRING THE BEAUTY OF SAKURAS, A RITUAL IN JAPAN<\/strong><\/p>\n

The whole Land of the Rising Sun follows with passion the blooming of snowy-petaled, pink-tinged sakuras on the branches of cherry trees. To celebrate this poetic ritual the Japanese call Hanami literally \u201cflower viewing\u201d, friends and families get together to admire sakuras. Under the cherry trees, the vaporous blooms fall without wilting, \u201cflower rafts\u201d float on streams, and petals flutter in the breeze like delicate butterflies\u2026<\/p>\n

A FRAGRANCE EMBROIDERED WITH SAKURA AND JASMINE PETALS<\/strong><\/p>\n

To capture the dazzling, fleeting beauty of cherry trees in Spring, the Guerlain Perfumers drew on their full artistry. First, bergamot, an olfactory signature of the House, sheds its golden light on the fragrance. The freshness of the green tea accord binds this luminous opening to better welcome in its heart facets of almond, cherry, and powdery lilac, enhanced by a pearl-white jasmine, and carried by a breeze of white musks.<\/p>\n

LES ATELIERS VERMONT: AN EXCEPTIONAL EMBROIDERY HOUSE<\/strong><\/p>\n

To offer the most poetic of adornments to this springtime scent, Guerlain has called on virtuosos of art embroidery. Since 1956, Les Ateliers Vermont have created intricate embroidery in the heart of Paris for the most prestigious Haute Couture houses, continuing this age-old craft. For Jean-Eudes N\u00e9ton, Creative Director, the artistic collaboration with Guerlain was the opportunity to enrich the multi-sensoriality of embroidery by combining touch, smell and sight.<\/p>\n

A BOTTLE ADORNED WITH A SLENDER CHERRY BLOSSOM TREE BRANCH<\/strong><\/p>\n

For this m\u00e9tier d’art edition, it is the slender, elegant branch of the tree blooming with sakuras that inspired the new creation. The cherry tree branch is embroidered with a slender golden thread which traces its elegant lines. Then, one by one, the golden pearls and tubes that form the body of the branch are assembled by the nimble fingers of the embroiderer. This slender, scintillating branch is set on a sumptuous, powder pink grosgrain bow, matching the scent\u2019s tender hue. The infinitely refined ornament matches the virtuosity of Parisian Haute Couture techniques with the poetry of its Japanese inspiration.<\/p>\n

This numbered edition is limited to 3,000 pieces. Each 125 ml bottle is presented with a 20 ml travel spray in its white leather sheath, as well as a funnel to transfer the fragrance.<\/p>\n
