A total of 10.3 million passengers travelled via Helsinki Airport in January\u2013August 2023, 89% of whom travelled on international flights.<\/p>\n
The Finnish brands now opening shops at the airport include the eco shop Ruohonjuuri, Moomin Shop, Kankurin Tupa souvenir and Christmas shops, the jewellery and design shop Viaminnet and the cosmetics shop Lumene. The shops will create a total of about 70 new jobs at Helsinki Airport.<\/p>\n
The majority of the shops will open in the new experience area, which will be completed on the site of the airport\u2019s former departures hall.<\/p>\n
\u201cFinnish architecture, design using wood and unique brands will make the area an exciting meeting place at the heart of the gate area. The completion of the area is the culmination of Finavia\u2019s historic development programme at Helsinki Airport, which will end in the autumn.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Relove, which is both a caf\u00e9 and the world\u2019s first second-hand shop located at an airport, also opened in the spectacular service area in the summer. The caf\u00e9 and shop has delighted both domestic and international passengers.<\/p>\n \u201cWe continuously develop our offering by following trends and the wishes of passengers.
