Tullamore DEW Trilogy is a 15-year-old blend of some of the brand\u2019s oldest malt and grain whiskies which have been aged in three different types of wood \u2013 ex-Bourbon, ex-Sherry, and ex-rum casks.<\/p>\n

The whiskey, which is also triple distilled and triple blended, marks the first time Tullamore DEW has used rum casks to finish ageing.<\/p>\n

\u201cTullamore DEW\u00a0Trilogy evokes the senses in a very distinct way,\u201d said John Quinn, global brand ambassador for the brand. \u201cOn the nose, there\u2019s a nutty oakiness interlaced with a hint of tropical fruit.<\/p>\n

\u201cCreamy and full-bodied, exciting the palate with elements of fruit, nuts and spice, Tullamore DEW Trilogy is finished in a rum cask to deliver a long, intensely rich and satisfying finish.\u201d<\/p>\n

The three woods used for Tullamore DEW. Trilogy include rum casks, a first for Tullamore DEW. By maturing whiskey in a combination of traditional refill, ex-Bourbon and ex-oloroso sherry casks and finishing it in carefully selected rum casks, this new blend delivers a complex yet smooth taste.<\/p>\n

Reflecting its position at the top of the Tullamore DEW range of triple distilled, triple blends, the packaging is black and carries a specially designed Trilogy symbol to denote triple distilled, triple blend, triple wood.<\/p>\n

Available from the specialist Irish Whiskey Collection<\/a>, part of\u00a0The Loop<\/a> Duty Free in Dublin Airport<\/a> and also at select international retailers, Tullamore DEW Trilogy is bottled at 40% abv and carries an RRP of \u20ac65.00.<\/p>\n

In September last year, Tullamore DEW opened its new Irish whiskey distillery, 60 years after the original site closed. The brand expanded its range in June 2015 with the launch of the \u201cworld\u2019s first\u201d Irish whiskey finished in cider casks.<\/p>\n
