Est\u00e9e Lauder has unveiled a limited-edition makeup collection with Chinese dressmaker Shuting Qiu that features Qiu\u2019s signature vibrant floral motifs alongside other traditional Chinese elements.<\/p>\n

The four-piece collection highlights Qiu\u2019s \u201cmodern romantic\u201d aesthetic, expressed through vibrant florals that clash with linear prints in shiny colours.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Est\u00e9e Lauder said the gathering, which was inspired by classic Chinese art \u2014 be it a poem, a brocade pattern, or classic silk designs \u2014 is ultimately a celebration of \u201cthe duality of the Chinese woman.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe gathering referenced traditional Chinese tapestry combined with my very own design language to bring out the characteristics of the Shuting Qiu woman, who\u2019s daring yet soft, powerful yet romantic, strong yet cheerful,\u201d<\/em> said Qiu.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a whole lot of creative freedom working on this collaboration,\u201d<\/em> said Qiu. \u201cA few of my designs were realized in 3D \u2014 including the lipsticks with debossed flowers and real embroidery on the attention shadow palette packaging \u2014 which could be very intricate.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
