This 50-year-old bottling of Benriach is the brand\u2019s oldest Scotch whisky to date.<\/p>\n


\nThe launch of Benriach 50 Years Old took place at the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore.<\/p>\n

Only 37 bottles of the whisky will be available worldwide with an RRP of \u00a325,000 (US$31,329) per bottle, five<\/strong> of which have been allocated for the duty-free channel.<\/p>\n

On 21 September 1966, Bourbon cask 2383 was filled with unpeated Benriach new make spirit, and, after 50 years, was bottled at 44.5% ABV.<\/p>\n

Tasting notes include aromas of oak, chestnut, Maraschino cherry and gentle acacia honey. The palate is said to bring honeyed dates, delicate oak spices and lingering apple, pear and traces of grapefruit.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Benriach also unveiled a 25-year-old<\/a> expression for GTR.<\/p>\n

Crafted from one exceptional cask by Master Blender Rachel Barrie, and with just 37[1] precious bottles available, Benriach 1966 Cask Aged 50 Years is the finest portrayal of Benriach\u2019s signature fruit-laden style, with unrivalled complexity and luxurious refinement.<\/p>\n

First filled with unpeated Benriach spirit on the 21st of September 1966, Bourbon cask 2383 was handpicked for its exquisite character, destined to become the oldest remaining vintage and rarest ever example of Benriach. Following decades of maturation in Benriach\u2019s Speyside warehouses, it emerges as the first Benriach to be bottled at fifty years old.<\/p>\n

Benriach 1966 Cask Aged 50 Years is held within a bespoke crystal decanter, made in Scotland by Glasstorm. Each decanter is presented in a presentation box made by master craftsman John Galvin, its design inspired by the colourful array of eclectic casks which fill Benriach\u2019s warehouses, where the expression has been nurtured for the last half a century.<\/p>\n

Benriach 1996 Cask Aged 50 years is priced at \u00a325,000, reflecting the unparalleled craftsmanship and rarity of this exceptional whisky. Launching in Asia in May 2024, the expression will be rolled out across select global markets from June-October.<\/strong><\/p>\n
