{"id":72314,"date":"2024-05-16T10:41:02","date_gmt":"2024-05-16T09:41:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dutyfreehunter.com\/blog\/?p=72314"},"modified":"2024-05-16T10:41:02","modified_gmt":"2024-05-16T09:41:02","slug":"tom-hardy-becomes-first-male-ambassador-for-jo-malone-london","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dutyfreehunter.com\/blog\/tom-hardy-becomes-first-male-ambassador-for-jo-malone-london\/","title":{"rendered":"Tom Hardy becomes first male ambassador for Jo Malone London"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jo Malone London has signed up a male ambassador for the very first time, with actor Tom Hardy the face of its Cypress &amp; Grapevine Cologne Intense.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a two-year deal that Hardy said began <em>\u201cas a shared connection and passion over similar philanthropic pursuits [and] has since evolved into a wonderfully rewarding creative partnership, rooted in a shared commitment to making a long-term positive impact\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>His ambassadorship is launching with a one-minute film focusing on the sharp contrasts of London at night.\u00a0It was directed by Oscar winner by Edward Berger, whose \u2018All Quiet on the Western Front\u2019 was named Best International Feature Film in 2022.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Tom Hardy For Jo Malone London\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fjTE_LxHdKI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>And it\u2019s a family affair too as Tom Hardy\u2019s father Chips Hardy, the English novelist, playwright and screenwriter, was the wordsmith for the film.<\/p>\n<p>Jo Dancey, Senior VP and Global General Manager of the Est\u00e9e Lauder-owned brand, said: <em>\u201cTom is undeniably a huge talent. He is intelligent, compassionate, generous and thoughtful. But it was his willingness to be involved beyond being just a face of a campaign that really struck us.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis is a true partnership that celebrates both the roots of Jo Malone London and Tom\u2019s home town.
