Ultra-premium Tequila brand Komos has launched a Reposado Cristalino expression exclusively for global travel retail (GTR).<\/p>\n


\nThe Tequila made its debut this month in duty free shops in major US airports, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Richard Betts, co-founder and co-CEO of Casa Komos Brands Group (CKBG), said: \u201cTequila Komos was created with a global mindset and designed to be enjoyed all day and night, wherever you travel.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe launch of this GTR-exclusive expression further expands our reach at a time when accessibility to ultra-premium tequila is still nuanced but international travel continues to rebound post-Covid.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIt allows us to reach new consumers and demographics and bring Komos Reposado Cristalino to those who share our passion for wanderlust and revelry.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The Tequila is made from 100% Blue Weber agave, hand-harvested from both the highlands and lowlands in Jalisco, Mexico, and aged for six months in French oak barrels formerly used for red and white wine.<\/p>\n

The spirit is filtered with charcoal to remove impurities, creating a smooth, crystal-clear liquid. The final touch is aeration, which makes for a softer and smoother mouthfeel and adds richness and roundness to the palate, the brand said.<\/p>\n

Profile-wise, a \u2018rich, roasted agave-forward\u2019 nose is complemented by a palate of \u2018smoky minerality and hints of French oak and exquisite nuttiness\u2019.<\/p>\n

The Tequila is presented in a metallised ceramic bottle handmade by artisans in Mexico, and designed to be upcycled.<\/p>\n

Sitting at 40% ABV, it is available in GTR and duty free channels for RSP US$130, alongside the brand\u2019s other Tequila\u2019s: A\u00f1ejo Cristalino, Extra A\u00f1ejo and Komos XO,<\/p>\n

Reposado Cristalino<\/strong>

Komos Reposado Cristalino is aged up to six months in French oak white and red wine barrels, then dripped through activated charcoal to refine and remove impurities, resulting in a crystal-clear, perfectly smooth tequila.<\/p>\n

Komos Craftsmanship<\/strong><\/p>\n

True to Komos\u2019 craftsmanship, this expression is made in Mexico using perfectly ripe 100% Blue Weber Agave, hand-harvested from the distinct terroirs of both the highlands and lowlands of the Tequila Valley in Jalisco. The pi\u00f1as are roasted in traditional stone ovens, and the aguamiel is naturally fermented and twice distilled in copper pot stills. After aging in the finest barrels, the final touch is gentle aeration: the winemaking technique of tumbling the liquid to take on oxygen to make the mouthfeel softer and smoother, while adding a richness and roundness.<\/p>\n
