Valentino Beauty has named British singer and songwriter Charli XCX as its latest US brand ambassador.<\/p>\n

Known for her bold style and the inspiration of the social media summer trend ‘brat’, which personifies a unique, grungy sense of fashion.<\/p>\n

Charli XCX is set to embody what the brand\u2019s describe as \u201cedgy elegance\u201d as she promotes the new Spike Valentino Buttery Matte Lip Color.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram post, the L’Or\u00e9al-licensed brand described the partnership as \u201cedgy, bold and unapologetically expressive\u201d.<\/p>\n

The launch coincides with her ongoing Sweat Tour where the singer will be spotlighting the brand’s berry red shade \u2018It\u2019s Valentino Baby\u2019 and also their Colorgraph Eyeliner in Rockstud Noir.<\/p>\n

Valentino Beauty promoted the new lipstick line and announcement of Charli XCX as an ambassador during a masterclass with makeup artist Yadim Carranza.<\/p>\n

There were also pop-ups that took over Flatiron Public Plaza, in New York, US, with 3D figures of the spiked packaging. The lipstick comes in over seven shades and retails for \u00a338.<\/p>\n

The singer has previously collaborated with beauty brands such as Laneige and K18, and her appointment adds to a growing list of faces for Valentino’s fashion and beauty houses.<\/p>\n
