Glenmorangie\u2019s Whisky Creation Team, led by Dr Bill, are endlessly searching for new flavour possibilities. Combining their \u201cWhat if\u2026?\u201d approach to whisky with the finest casks from around the world, they bring new layers of deliciousness to Glenmorangie\u2019s signature style. And now, for the first time, the Wonder Machine offers travellers the chance to experiment for themselves. Entering the single malt\u2019s world of flavour, they are able to explore the aromatic personalities of luscious creations in the Travel Retail range \u2013 until they discover their personal whisky match.<\/p>\n

Revealed initially at Glenmorangie\u2019s wondrous boutique at London Heathrow Airport\u2019s Terminal 2<\/a>, the Wonder Machine has the look and feel of a fantastical factory, where delicious experiments come to life. It merges sophisticated physical and digital technologies to draw travellers into a sensory playground. First, using a touchpad encased in elegant, copper casing shaped like a still, users pick their whisky personality from a selection inspired by Glenmorangie\u2019s devotion to deliciousness,\u00a0 craftsmanship and experimentation. Then they are whisked away on a dramatic, personalised visual tour of the whisky\u2019s more wonderful world, via an immersive display.<\/p>\n

Next, the marvellous machine\u2019s cogs, dials and belts playfully whirr into action onscreen, as if users are crafting the whisky there and then. They select a favourite scent from six delicious aromas, each hinting at the essence of each whisky. All crafted by Glenmorangie\u2019s Master Blender and Head of Whisky Creation Gillian Macdonald and an expert perfumier, these scents include roasting coffee beans, a nod to Glenmorangie Signet\u2019s mocha notes, the melting toffee tones of Glenmorangie Elementa and much more.<\/p>\n

Travellers can also experiment with six captivating soundscapes, each reflecting a whisky\u2019s spirit and flavour. For instance, they might prefer the sound of a heartbeat, reminiscent of Glenmorangie The Original \u2013 the single malt at the heart of Glenmorangie\u2019s whisky making.
