Cacharel is launching its first new fragrance in seven years.\u00a0Called Ella Ella, the scent follows Yes I Am, from 2018.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to come back with a new vision of femininity for today,\u201d<\/em> explained Sandrine Groslier, global president, luxe fragrance brands at L\u2019Or\u00e9al.<\/p>\n

She said Cacharel is the only perfume brand in the beauty giant\u2019s luxe portfolio speaking to young girls\u2019 blooming femininity.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are new changes for this generation over the past years,\u201d<\/em> she said. \u201cWe really wanted to embody this new vision of freedom, of being [true to] yourself in the world today.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Since the coronavirus pandemic, young people have dealt with more stressors and rising depression levels.<\/p>\n

\u201cJoy is really something that is important in this project,\u201d<\/em> said Groslier. \u201cIt is full of color.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Ella Ella is also a tribute to the origins of Cacharel, which was born in the Camargue region of France and whose name comes from a bird found there. That is where the campaign images were shot by Florian Joye.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll the Cacharel universe is linked to nature,\u201d<\/em> said Groslier, adding the yellow of the advertising\u2019s color block channels assumed femininity, and the image\u2019s sense of movement is key.<\/p>\n

The campaign\u2019s film, about self-discovery, was directed by India Sleem and set to Santa singing \u201cChanter le Monde.\u201d There\u2019s a kaleidoscope of butterflies and a spot where the starring model falls into her friends\u2019 arms.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to express this idea of sorority,\u201d<\/em> said Groslier. \u201cEach time we launch a fragrance, we try to offer women of this generation a safe space to be free, to be themselves.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Like prior Cacharel fragrances, such as Ana\u00efs Ana\u00efs from 1978, Ella Ella has a repeating name. Its peachy-pink, refillable bottle is capped with a sphere and emblazoned with a butterfly figurine.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a symbol of this transformation of a woman,\u201d<\/em> said Groslier. \u201cIt\u2019s a process of revealing and assuming who you are.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

IFF perfumer Dominique Ropion, who created Cacharel\u2019s Amor Amor scent, developed the new fragrance, which includes notes of vanilla, orange blossom and jasmine.<\/p>\n

Ella Ella will first launch in France, followed by a rollout across Europe and the U.S. through the first half of 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n
