The new collection from Desigual goes back\u00a0to its roots and reinvents itself, drawing inspiration\u00a0from the vibrant, fun and multicultural\u00a0city of Barcelona, where the brand\u2019s story first\u00a0began in 1984.<\/p>\n

SS2016 WOMEN\u2019S COLLECTION<\/strong>
\nChange is in the air for Desigual with the\u00a0SS2016 collection, updated with new fabrics\u00a0and finishes such as blonde lace and the combination\u00a0of knits and wool. The colour palette of\u00a0green, blue yellow, red, black and white evokes\u00a0the Mediterranean and Barcelona\u2019s traditions.\u00a0The aesthetic of the \u201860s and \u201870s features\u00a0heavily this season, bringing with it fun pinafore\u00a0dresses and folk-style ponchos. Sophisticated\u00a0details like broach buttons or jewelled collars\u00a0add a touch of glamour to coats and dresses,\u00a0which range from lingerie-inspired styles and\u00a0watercolour-effect floral prints to chic kaftans.\u00a0Also new is a range of prints inspired by the\u00a0geometric compositions of the tiled floors in\u00a0Barcelona.<\/p>\n

The Exotic Jeans offering \u2013 comprising pants,\u00a0jackets and skirts \u2013 is given a makeover with\u00a0details such as sequins, beads and mirrors, as\u00a0well as brushstrokes that characterise urban art\u00a0and dripping effects.\u00a0The epitome of cruise ship elegance, the\u00a0SS2016 Desigual by Monsieur Christian Lacroix\u00a0collection is marked by white, black and\u00a0pearl grey colours, with a focus on minimalist\u00a0offerings such as plain basics, prints against a\u00a0monochrome background and black & white\u00a0combinations.<\/p>\n

SS2016 ACCESSORIES COLLECTION<\/strong>
\nDesigual has also been exploring new patterns,\u00a0designs and fabrics for the SS2016 accessories\u00a0collection \u2013 which includes bags, wallets, belts, scarves and jewellery \u2013 with special attention\u00a0paid to the intricate details that enhance the\u00a0pieces.<\/p>\n

Natural shades of cherry, leafy green, sandy\u00a0yellow, deep blue and pure black & white make\u00a0up the colour palette this season, and this is\u00a0complemented by a whole new generation of\u00a0materials. Natural fibres like ramie cotton (for\u00a0foulards), or technological ones like neoprene,\u00a0enhance items with sophisticated textures.<\/p>\n

ORGANIC INSPIRATION<\/strong>
\nThis season\u2019s jewellery offering draws heavily\u00a0from nature, capturing the spirit of summer with\u00a0two collections: a \u2018Tutti Fruitti\u2019 range of necklaces,\u00a0bracelets and earrings, designed with\u00a0natural desiccated fruit and refreshing colours;\u00a0and an ocean-inspired line in iridescent and\u00a0coral tones.<\/p>\n
