Belfast City Airport has become the first airport in Northern Ireland to launch \u2018That\u2019s the Spirit\u2019 \u2013 a week-long celebration of local spirit brands that are putting Northern Ireland on the global distiller stage.<\/p>\n

Taking place from 23rd August to 30th August, \u2018That\u2019s the Spirit\u2019 will shine a spotlight on the homegrown brands behind Northern Ireland\u2019s distillery resurgence, giving passengers an opportunity to sample premium spirits from some of the region\u2019s most renowned distilleries.<\/strong><\/p>\n Speaking at its launch, Michael Jackson, Head of Commercial at Belfast City Airport, said:<\/p>\n \u201cAs an airport at the heart of the city, we are passionate about showcasing the very best that Northern Ireland has to offer.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWe share our distillers\u2019 pride in their creations and want to support local producers, giving our passengers a true taste of the place that we are fortunate enough to call home.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n In partnership with Copeland, Basalt, Boatyard, Hinch, Jawbox, and Titanic Distillers, sampling will take place in Belfast City Airport\u2019s World Duty Free and Aspire Lounge, with special offers and promotions available in The Artisan and Samson\u2019s Kitchen and Bar.<\/p>\n Michael continued:<\/p>\n \u201cBrand representatives will be on hand to share tasting notes and insights into their distilling process, with each bottle representing a story of local heritage, craftsmanship, and innovation.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cFor those who discover a new favourite, full bottles of all featured spirits will be available for purchase in World Duty Free, ready to be taken home \u2014 no matter where in the world passengers are travelling.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cFrom gin to whiskey, vodka, and even rum, World Duty Free’s shelves are filled with a showcase of the best distilleries, producing premium spirits right here in Northern Ireland, and we would encourage our passengers to join us in August as we raise a glass to the distillers turning local passion into world class products.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Gerry White, Founder of Jawbox Gin, added:<\/p>\n “We\u2019re delighted that Jawbox Gin is part of Belfast City Airport\u2019s ‘That\u2019s the Spirit’ campaign, a brilliant initiative that shines a spotlight on the quality and creativity of local spirits.
