Following an impactful brand refresh, the launch of their GTRX trio<\/a> and the global \u2018Everything Considered\u2019 campaign this year so far, Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail and Aberlour have now announced the opening of the first ever Aberlour Boutique, situated in the Departures YP concourse of Terminal 1, Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.<\/p>\n

Designed in partnership with Pernod Ricard GTR\u2019s long-standing partner Everrich Duty Free, the 350 sq ft store sits at the heart of one of Asia\u2019s most dynamic travel retail locations, Taiwan, and artfully combines the heritage, storytelling and full range of Aberlour\u2019s meticulously crafted Speyside single malt with a unique consumer experience that connects to the very soul of Taiwan.<\/p>\n

It was opened with a theatrical ribbon-cutting ceremony on 27 August, with Everrich\u2019s President, Mr Kevin Chiang and Pernod Ricard GTR\u2019s CEO, Mr Laurent Pillet in attendance. After a rousing lion dance performance, Mr Chiang and Mr Pillet spoke to the strength of their partnership in achieving a world first brand store for Aberlour and the exclusive product journey\u202ftheir teams have created for travellers, before toasting the future success of the boutique and leading a convivial tour of the space.<\/p>\n

Echoing the June activation in Taipei Airport, which marked the start of Aberlour\u2019s global roll-out in travel retail, the new boutique is dressed in accordance with the new brand visual identity; the iconic red representing Aberlour\u2019s distillery oak doors, the beige of Scottish barley fields and the warm gold of Aberlour\u2019s fine amber liquid \u2013 a celebration of its craft, heritage and commitment to the natural environment.<\/p>\n

Seamlessly blending Scottish and Taiwanese traditions, travellers will be welcomed into the store with a wish tree\u202fat the entrance, where they can post their wishes for good luck and prosperity. A range of stamps will be available to personalise the wish cards depicting symbols of everyday Taiwanese life. Visitors will then be offered the opportunity to taste a dram from the Aberlour range, thoughtfully paired with sweet pineapple cake, a local delicacy.<\/p>\n

The traveller journey of discovery continues with access to the 2025 Travel Retail Exclusive range: Aberlour 13 Year Old Double Cask Matured, Aberlour 16 Year Old Double Charred Selection, and Aberlour Suthainn Double Sherry Cask Solera. Then there is the highly sought after Small Batch 15 Year Old, and the Small Batch 17 Year Old, which has a limited availability of just 300 bottles.<\/p>\n

Constantly striving to fuel shoppers\u2019 excitement for rare malts, Pernod Ricard GTR and Aberlour have also developed a special pipeline of innovations, which will appear on sale in the Aberlour Boutique over the coming months.<\/p>\n
