In January, travellers passing through Dubai International Airport are invited to turn a journey into a gifting moment. Valrhona and Villars present “A Gift from Dubai”, a dedicated chocolate activation at Dubai Duty Free, Concourse B, celebrating craftsmanship, personalisation and destination-inspired gifting.

The space brings together two Dubai-edition creations: the Valrhona Pistachio Crispy Praliné Gift Box and the Villars Milk Hazelnut Bar, each featuring packaging elements inspired by Dubai’s iconic skyline. Designed for travellers seeking meaningful gifts, the activation connects premium chocolate with a strong sense of place.

Personalisation at the Heart of the Experience

At the centre of the space, Valrhona’s iconic Gift Atelier invites passengers to customise their purchase by selecting a ribbon to tie around their gift box – transforming each chocolate into a personal gesture for loved ones.

Travellers are also invited to taste Valrhona’s Pistachio Crispy Praliné, recently introduced at Dubai Duty Free, and discover its balance of pistachio intensity, crisp texture and smooth chocolate. The experience is complemented by gifts with purchase, including a travel pouch and a Swiss ceramic mug.

“A Gift from Dubai” reflects the shared vision of Valrhona and Villars to create travel retail experiences that combine heritage and local relevance. By drawing inspiration from Dubai’s gifting culture and international passenger profile, the activation offers travellers a refined way to bring home a piece of their journey.

“Travel retail is about emotion, generosity and connection,” said Zeyneb Larabi, Retail & Travel Retail Director at Valrhona. “With this activation, we wanted to create a moment where craftsmanship meets personalisation, allowing travellers to offer a gift that feels both meaningful and rooted in Dubai.”
