Award-winning whisky brand Grant\u2019s announces the launch\u00a0of Grant\u2019s Elementary, a range of three distinctive Scotch whiskies which reveal the scientific\u00a0precision behind traditional whisky-making.<\/p>\n
The new range, exclusive to premium travel retail\u00a0stores<\/strong>, also includes the rare Grant\u2019s 29 Year Old blended Scotch whisky. Developed by an\u00a0expert team led by renowned Master Blender, Brian Kinsman, the individual Grant\u2019s Elementary\u00a0variants each champion a critical element of the whisky-making process. \nGrant\u2019s Elementary Carbon 6 Year Old is a blend of whiskies matured for six years or more. The\u00a0whisky\u2019s smoky taste reflects both the lightly peated whiskies used in the blend and the impact\u00a0of carbon during cask maturation. Matured inside charred oak casks, the whisky is smoother as\u00a0the carbon layer in the oak acts as a natural filter.<\/p>\n
\nGrant\u2019s Elementary Oxygen 8 Year Old is a blend of single grain whiskies matured for eight\u00a0years or more, with single grain distilled under vacuum at its heart. The whisky\u2019s distinctive sweet\u00a0taste reflects the removal of oxygen from our grain spirit during Grant\u2019s expert vacuum distilling\u00a0process. In an oxygen deficient environment, distillation can occur at a lower temperature,\u00a0producing a crisp, sweetened flavour profile.<\/p>\n
\nGrant\u2019s Elementary Copper 29 Year Old is a blend of prestigious whiskies matured for 29 years\u00a0or more, with a flavour profile that is the perfect balance of both sweet and smoky. The premium\u00a0expression celebrates the essential role copper plays during whisky-making. Single malt whiskies\u00a0used in this blend are distilled in copper pot stills before maturation, and grain whiskies also\u00a0react with sacrificial copper plates inside the column still to smooth out any sulphuric elements\u00a0in the spirit, extract the harsh flavours and produce a delicately balanced flavour.<\/p>\n
