FOSSIL announces the return of BIG TIC, the cult ana-digi icon first introduced in 1999. Designed to feel alive in motion, BIG TIC combines analog hour and minute hands with a digital display that keeps the seconds in constant movement — delivering a bold, dynamic look that is unmistakably BIG TIC.

A Symbol of Its Era: At the height of its popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s, BIG TIC became a defining symbol in the fashion-watch movement. Created for a generation seeking expressive, accessible, and visually distinctive design, its oversized animated seconds display and hybrid analog-digital architecture set it apart as a bold, confident timepiece that refused to blend in.

From Archive to Modern Icon: Since 2020, FOSSIL selectively reintroduced BIG TIC through limited archival re-releases, reaffirming its appeal to both collectors and a new generation. As part of the FOSSIL Archival Series, these modern editions have preserved the original ana-digi concept while introducing new colourways and contemporary designs, including artist projects in Japan (Backside Works). The continued demand, collector interest and ongoing conversation around BIG TIC underline its lasting significance within the brand’s history and its enduring cultural appeal.

2026: BIG TIC as a Full-Year Statement: In 2026, BIG TIC returns not as a single drop, but as a full-year statement, featuring multiple launches and a range of fresh design expressions.

Launching First: Y2K BIG TIC FLAMES Limited Edition: An archival re-launch inspired by the original 2002 Big Tic Flames design. It features an animated flame LCD display alongside BIG TIC’s signature analog-digital architecture. It celebrates the bold, dynamic spirit of the early 2000s while appealing to both collectors and a new generation discovering BIG TIC for the first time.

Also Launching: MACHINE BIG TIC: Launching alongside Flames, MACHINE BIG TIC reinterprets BIG TIC’s late-’90s ana-digi technology through the bold, industrial design language of FOSSIL’s Machine family. The result pairs animated character with a more structured, durable build. The negative LCD display features seven unique animations of BIG TIC’s oversized seconds digits, delivering movement with a more technical, engineered feel.
