{"id":9423,"date":"2015-12-02T15:47:40","date_gmt":"2015-12-02T15:47:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dutyfreehunter.com\/blog\/?p=9423"},"modified":"2015-12-02T15:47:40","modified_gmt":"2015-12-02T15:47:40","slug":"shinsegae-opens-at-incheon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dutyfreehunter.com\/blog\/shinsegae-opens-at-incheon\/","title":{"rendered":"Shinsegae makes fashionable entrance at Seoul Incheon airport"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Shinsegae Group has opened a new duty-free shop with over 300 brands at Incheon International Airport.\u00a0The retail giant gained a license in February to operate a duty-free shop specialising in fashion and luxury items in Section 7 of the airport.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Since refurbishment work started in September, Section 7 has become home to 80 percent of retail outlets at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dutyfreehunter.com\/blog\/seoul-incheon-airport-duty-free\/\">Incheon<\/a>, including boutiques for luxury brands such as MCM, Coach and Montblanc.<\/p>\n<p>To help\u00a0travellers enjoy a one-stop shopping experience, the shops are grouped in small sections of fashion accessories, foods and sunglasses according to customers&#8217; purchasing patterns.<\/p>\n<p>Shinsegae said that it also has diversified brands to differentiate itself from its rivals. It has the very first local optician, Gentle Monster, in its duty-free shop, while it also operates a brand experience zone for massager brand, Breo. Male travellers won&#8217;t feel left out either as there is a retail zone\u00a0selling gadgets such as drones and photography equipment.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Shinsegae duty-free shop at Incheon airport will present unique items and stores that haven&#8217;t existed in previous duty free shops,&#8221; said Shinsegae Chosun Hotel CEO Sung Young-mok in a statement. &#8220;We aim to make it not just a place that travellers pass though before departure, but as a landmark that provides diverse experiences and convenience.&#8221;\u00a0The company plans to conclude the refurbishment and openings by\u00a0other luxury brands by April 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Shinsegae is ambitiously expanding its duty-free business.
