Lacoste has\u00a0announced their latest Travel Retail opening in Asia Pacific, an elegant 70sqm boutique in Mumbai International Airport Terminal 2.<\/p>\n

Airport Profile<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport<\/a> formerly Sahar International Airport, is the primary international airport in Mumbai, India. The airport, located within the city’s municipal limits, is situated in the suburb of Santa Cruz and the Sahar neighbourhood of Andheri suburb. The airport is owned by GVK, Airports Authority of India and operated by Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL), a GVK-led consortium.<\/p>\n

In 2014, the airport handled 35M passengers (domestic and international) an increase of 9.5% over the 2013 figure of 32M. During the first 6 months of 2015 the airport handled 20.1M, an increase of +17.8% over the same period in 2014.<\/p>\n

Mumbai Airport hosts domestic, regional and international passenger and cargo services, the airport is a hub for airlines including Air India and Jet Airways.<\/p>\n

In a bid to further increase tourism to India, from October 2014 tourists from all but 8 countries will be able to obtain a visa upon arrival rather than in advance of travel.<\/p>\n

There are two main passenger Terminal buildings at Mumbai Airport. Terminals 1 and 2 as well as the general aviation Terminal and the cargo facility. Terminal 1 is used for domestic traffic whilst Terminal 2 is used for all International flights. Terminal 2 is in the final phases of its reconstruction, due to finish this year and when complete will handle both domestic and International flights.<\/p>\n
