Travelling shoppers have another treat in store at DFS’ wine and spirits emporiums in Singapore Changi airport – an exclusive, rare premium single malt from Aberfeldy.

Drinks giant Bacardi has partnered with travel retailer DFS for global exclusivity of ABERFELDY 1999, the latest launch from its new Exceptional Cask Series, a range of rare and aged whiskies from the Bacardi portfolio. Initially available exclusively at DFS Changi Airport, the ABERFELDY 1999 will be available later in the year at DFS stores at Abu Dhabi airport, in Hawaii and North America.

Perfect for whisky connoisseurs and collectors ABERFELDY 1999 is a rare, one-off release of 18-year-old small batch single malt whisky, with only 3126 bottles produced, using every drop of the precious batch. Personally selected by ABERFELDY Malt Master, Stephanie Macleod, the liquid is finished in port casks for two years, to allow the development of a unique, highly enjoyable taste profile: succulent summer berries and aromatic flowering currant, a hint of cinnamon and grated dark chocolate, with a smooth layer of caramel to finish.

ABERFELDY is the fastest growing Single Malt in the top 15 in global travel retail for the last five years with an increase of 36% five year CAGR and is now the ninth-highest selling single malt in Asia Pacific travel retail.
