A joint stand from The Nyetimber Group will be offering tastings of Nyetimber Classic Cuvee Multi-Vintage alongside The Lakes Whiskymaker’s Edition Nostalgia and travel retail exclusive, The Lakes Boundless Single Malt Whisky.
Both The Lakes Distillery and Nyetimber will be offering a gift with purchase including a Lakes Copita Tasting Glass with purchases of The Lakes Boundless or a Nyetimber Christmas Bauble with purchases of 1086 by Nyetimber. Nyetimber Classic Cuvee Multi-Vintage and Nyetimber Tillington Single Vineyard 2016 are also available to purchase along with The Lakes Whiskymaker’s Edition Nostalgia.
This follows the launch of Avolta’s English Sparkling Wine activation in Heathrow Terminal 5, raising a glass to English excellence with a unique new campaign in the World Duty Free store. Running from November 2025 through to February 2026, the activation celebrates the festive season and beyond, with three of the country’s most renowned producers: Nyetimber, Chapel Down and Gusbourne.
For the first time, travellers are discovering these celebrated brands side by side, with tastings available to help them “try before they buy” and an artist visiting the store every Friday to personalize wooden gift tags with engraved messages.
The Lakes Boundless launches in Etihad Airways’ First Class Lounges
The Lakes Boundless recently secured a listing in Etihad Airways’ First Class Lounges. This reflects the growing popularity of The Lakes Distillery’s whiskies in the Middle East and Asia, two of Etihad’s main destinations. These are two priority markets for the brand, along with an increased focus on Global Travel Retail. This follows the launch of Boundless into Avolta in July, as part of The Lakes’s strategy to grow its international footprint and champion this permanent Global Travel Retail product.
Boundless is a travel retail exclusive and is matured exclusively in the finest first-fill Oloroso sherry-seasoned oak casks and designed with the art of élevage to create a whisky that is rich with bold layers of flavour and complexity. It offers notes of orange oil and dried fruits from European oak elegantly layered with delicate wood spice, toasted oak, and subtle notes of vanilla flowing from American oak. Since its release in September 2024, Boundless has won a Gold medal at the International Spirits Challenge 2025, as well as a Silver medal (90 points) at the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2025.
1086 by Nyetimber 2014 on British Airways First Class
1086 by Nyetimber 2014 is now available on British Airways First Class flights and will be until the end of the year. This follows the announcement earlier this year that British Airways was the first airline to serve an English prestige cuvée in first class, with 1086 by Nyetimber Rosé being the first English prestige cuvée to be served from 30 March 2025 for three months. 1086 by Nyetimber 2014 has been aged on the lees for over six years and is a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir.
