Louis Vuitton is extending the tropical vibes of its cruise 2017 fashion show by setting its new campaign in Rio…
Louis Vuitton’s latest Cruise campaign will give you all the travel inspiration you need. Starring Alicia Vikander, the campaign was shot in Rio de Janeiro by famed photographer Patrick Demarchelier, and features strong pops of colour and the classic designs the fashion house is known for.
The Oscar winner shows off two of the new handbags in the collection—the emblematic Twist and Capucine. In one snap, Vikander gives a sultry gaze to the camera, as she walks amongst palm trees in a black-and-white top and a belted navy-and-black skirt. An embroidered black handbag is on her arm, complete with red and white stitching and the signature silver LV twistable emblem.
The brand’s latest advertisements star actress Alicia Vikander, who has become a frequent Louis Vuitton collaborator in the past year, as she plays tourist in Rio de Janeiro. Like Louis Vuitton’s previous cruise efforts, this campaign is primed to inspire wanderlust as it reinforces the brand’s travelling spirit.
Louis Vuitton’s cruise ads show Vikander flanked by palm trees or standing nonchalantly on the beach. One image looks back at the runway show itself, capturing the protagonist walking down the modern museum’s space age ramp. Vikander has been a recurring personality in Louis Vuitton’s marketing as of late.
