Ballantine’s has launched the Warming Spices Edition, the first in a new series of 21 year old signature flavour limited editions showcasing the evolution of flavour imparted by the cask over 21 years of maturation.
A Global Travel Retail exclusive, the unique, multi‐dimensional blend was crafted by Ballantine’s master blender, Sandy Hyslop, who comments: “When given the rare opportunity to experiment with our beloved 21 year old blend, I wanted to celebrate the alchemy of the continuous interactions between the whisky and the cask over 21 years. Over time, layers of spice develop and flourish; from hints of stem ginger, through to sweet cinnamon and spicy liquorice. This limited release showcases this evolution of flavour and delivers amplified layers of complex spices which pay homage to 21 years of maturation.”
Launched first at Korea Incheon airport T1 & T2 in November, the Warming Spices Edition is available to the rest of Global Travel Retail throughout December. To celebrate the new series, Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail is connecting with travellers pre, during and post trip through a digital travel trail targeting Korean consumers. Presented with a downloadable e-coupon redeemable in-store, shoppers will receive luxury leather coasters and branded glasses as a gift with purchase, exclusively at Seoul Incheon airport.
Available for one year only, travellers can pick up a bottle of Ballantine’s Warming Spices Edition at airports in Korea, Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Nordics, USA. The RRP is $147 USD.
