Selena Gomez will reportedly design for Coach as well as being the brand’s latest celebrity face…

Days after Coach celebrated its 75th anniversary with a star-studded blowout, there is reportedly even more exciting news for the brand: According to Page Six, Selena Gomez is going to be its newest celebrity face.

Coach is known for working with big-name celebrities — they have Chloë Grace Moretz fronting their fragrance, Lena Dunham serving as a muse for their 75th anniversary handbags and loyal fans including Emma Roberts and Zoë Kravitz attend every runway show.

The apparent decision to go one step beyond simply signing Gomez as a ‘face’ and working with her on a collection follows the current trend for more meaningful collaborations between brands and influencers, like Gigi Hadid’s ongoing collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger (see story).

But with Gomez reigning as queen of Instagram for the second year in a row, this would be one of their biggest celeb partnerships to date. The deal reportedly cost $10 million, according to Page Six, and in addition to starring in the advertising campaign, the paper says, Gomez will have her own line for the brand. Coach has not confirmed the reports, saying “Coach has a long-standing policy of not commenting on rumours and speculation.”

The report comes from an anonymous source, so details remain limited as to what kind of line she’ll design, or how involved she’ll be with the design teams, but this isn’t her first time partnering with an iconic brand. She has a big ad campaign tied with Louis Vuitton (see story) and is a Pantene hair spokesmodel.
