Dior has named actress and philanthropist Charlize Theron as the new face of its skincare and jewellery lines.

As part of the partnership, beyond beauty, she will work closely with the House on social responsibility initiatives, focusing on women’s empowerment. The move expands her long-standing partnership with Dior, which first began in 2004.

“It’s exciting to start this chapter in a longstanding partnership with Dior. Over the past 20 years, it’s been an honor to collaborate creatively with the house as the face of j’Adore,” said Theron. “I’m proud of all we have been able to create together and to be joining Dior in celebrating the beauty of Jewellery and Skincare. I’m looking forward to what’s to come.”

Her breakout role in ‘Monster’ (2003) earned her an Oscar for Best Actress, cementing her reputation in the film industry. Theron has since starred in critically acclaimed films such as ‘Young Adult’ (2011), ‘Prometheus’ (2012), ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ (2015), ‘Atomic Blonde’ (2017), and ‘Fast and Furious 10’ (2023). Looking ahead, she will star in ‘The Old Guard 2’, set to release this year.

Beyond her film career, Theron has made significant contributions as a United Nations Messenger of Peace, focusing on HIV/AIDS prevention and ending violence against women. In 2007, she founded the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP), which works to improve the health and safety of youth in Southern Africa. Dior has supported this initiative since 2020 through the ‘Chin Up – Dior stands with women’ campaign.

“I am particularly proud to welcome Charlize Theron as Dior’s jewellery ambassador. Charlize is an icon and is the perfect representation of the alliance between arts, craftsmanship and dreams magnificently embodied by the jewelry created by Victoire de Castellane for the House of Dior,” said Delphine Arnault chairman and CEO, Christian Dior Couture.

Véronique Courtois CEO, Parfums Christian Dior added: “Charlize is a member of our family who embodies the Dior spirit that we treasure. Her rare talent, her commitment, and her otherworldly beauty makes her an icon. She is also, and therein lies her genius, truly down to earth. She is a woman who speaks to, and is liked by, other women. It therefore seems natural to reveal her myriad facets at the heart of the Dior world, by celebrating her triumphant femininity into other areas so appreciated by women: skincare on top of jewellery.”
