For spring 2017, Kris Van Assche has designed seven new sneakers for Dior Homme, their strong identities encapsulating the collection’s rebellious spirit.

Drips of colour that enliven the Prince of Wales check, white spots that jolt the House monogram, flocked velvet motifs superimposed with sequins, mirrored leather in a spray-painted dégradé, another covered in cracked paint, or monochrome matte sequins…

The sneakers designed by Kris Van Assche mix traditional elegance with contemporary inspirations, distinguishing themselves with colourful and graphic effects through which the Dior savoir-faire is expressed. “I like to shake things up and create contrasts.

The idea here lay in reworking a classic form with radical techniques,” the Dior Homme Creative Director explains. Low or high-top, with or without laces, these new sneakers look just as good as part of a casual outfit as they do with a suit or even a tuxedo.
