Dom Pérignon has invited Takashi Murakami to design two limited editions imagined for the 2025 year-end season: one for Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 and one for the launch of Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2010.
This artistic encounter perpetuates the Maison’s creative dialogue with visionary artists and reaffirms its commitment to artistic exploration, hybridity, and unclassifiable paths.
Nature as eternal creation
For both Dom Pérignon and Takashi Murakami, nature is a vital principle. The 2025 limited editions bring their visions together: in Dom Pérignon’s creative philosophy, nature is the starting point and the medium: grapes, terroir, climate, human precision, everything is orchestrated to translate raw matter into emotion. In Murakami’s approach, nature does not take the shape of realistic flora or fauna. Instead, it manifests as a hyper-synthetic, emotionally charged world made of flowers with oversized cartoon faces, creatures that seem to emerge from dreams, myths, or anime.
“Through my collaboration with Dom Pérignon, I wanted to express a form of time travel. My goal is to remain relevant in 100 or 200 years and to transcend time. When the label has aged, and I am gone, and my children are gone, I hope that people of the future, when they see it, will reimagine 2025 in their own minds.” Takashi Murakami
Creation is an eternal journey
Dom Pérignon meets Takashi Murakami
At the heart of the collaboration
Masters of traditional artistry, Dom Pérignon and Takashi Murakami dive deep into their cultural heritage to continually push the boundaries of creation. With his Superflat distinctive visual language, Takashi Murakami reframes the codes of classical Japanese art through the lens of contemporary culture.
Dom Pérignon’s creative process echoes this logic. Like Superflat, it distils meaning through restraint: paring down to the essentials, only to amplify them. Dom Pérignon and Murakami both seek to move beyond representation, and operate through the senses, inviting slow discovery rather than instant consumption.
Vintage 2015: An Unwavering Presence
Born from an exceptionally contrasted year, Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 reveals an unwavering presence. Somewhat dark at first, it proves tactile throughout the tasting, with a unique sense of touch. This tactile sensation is the foundation of Dom Pérignon’s taste, allowing it to fully express its plenitude. The dense matter of Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 anchors its natural authority. And over time, this authority progressively becomes horizontal, broad and rectilinear.
This is a Dom Pérignon Vintage that brings us emotions in turn stimulating, then soothing. Stimulating thanks to a subtle bitterness, a way of touching, of commanding attention.
Rosé Vintage 2010: The Frontiers of Creation
Vintage after vintage, Dom Pérignon Rosé pursues its vocation of pushing further the frontiers of Dom Pérignon’s creation. Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2010 now incarnates a significant landmark in this dynamic of creation. As a culmination of this research, the accomplished personality of Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2010 conveys a feeling of self-confidence, refinement, elegance, and majesty. It rewards ten years of creative efforts, aiming to transform the expression of Dom Pérignon Rosé toward more pinot noir radicality.
Born of a complex, extremely demanding harvest, truly a challenge to the expertise of the Maison, Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2010 is the fruit of a successful picking bet. It shows a mouth endowed with a surprising poise, lightly powerful, dense and delicate, ample and bound.
