Elie Saab shows couture fragrances
Elie Saab has announced the launch of La Collection des Essences, available from August 1.
Saab tapped Francis Kurkdjian to create the fragrance, drawing on the uniqueness of a haute couture gown and feel of rare fabrics as inspiration. The first of the four fragrances, Essence N° 1 Rose, weaves Bulgarian and Turkish roses with vanilla and cedar. Essence N° 2 Gardenia gives creamy wood tones combined with floral tones and green and white accents. Essence N°3 Ambre features opopanax, patchouli and sandalwood, whilst Essence N°4 Oud fuses black pepper and agar wood.
Elie Saab explains: he has expressed his love for women in an exciting new dimension, drawing on his unique savoir-faire to celebrate Haute Couture in scents. The Couturier of sublime beauty invited the Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian to join him on this enchanting adventure.
The dialogue between these two artisans of the exceptional has given birth to La Collection des Essences, creations as sumptuous and unique as a Haute Couture gown.
