Philipp Plein has tapped Fergie to appear in the brand’s spring advertising campaign, which is titled “Alice in Ghettoland,” and was photographed by Steven Klein.
The Black Eyed Peas star, who performed at Plein’s spring show in Milan in September, is flanked by model Matthew Terry. They hold poses against the same set used for the spring show. A surreal atmosphere is infused in the nocturnal images featuring Fergie, who sports an Amazon-like ponytail, and Terry immersed in a whimsical world with a candy-house, a carousel, a giant gelato cone, as well as a Fifties car and a vintage bike.
Fergie is seen wearing a top with a gold chain, an embroidered minidress and gladiator sandals, while Terry dons various clothes encrusted with crystals – all in keeping with Plein’s love of all things bling.
The advertising campaign will make its debut in international magazines in January.
