Louis Vuitton skipped its usual lavish show and instead released a limited lookbook of new designs – here’s your sneak peek…
Louis Vuitton is the richest luxury brand in the world so under normal circumstances, you can rely on LV to do things in a big way. Its shows are always events, held in global landmarks like the Louvre or at the brand’s own Frank Gehry-designed Louis Vuitton Foundation building. For Pre-Fall 2018, though, Vuitton has taken a more scaled-back approach, opting only to release 15 lookbook images to the public.
Of the 15 images, reports PurseBlog, only seven contain bags, and several of them are versions of the popular, trunk-inspired Petite Malle clutch or the hat box-inspired Petite Boite Chapeau in new versions. There’s relatively little monogram canvas, but you notice it most on a version of the Speedy that fuses it with contrasting black leather; the combination of monogram canvas and coloured leathers has been a big hit for Vuitton in recent seasons.
Anyway, feast your eyes on these lovely additions to the LV repetoire – and get ready to shop for them when they arrive in boutiques over the coming months including in airport stores at Singapore Changi, London Heathrow and selected others.
