Qatar Duty Free has opened the first IWC Schaffhausen pop-up boutique in the Middle East at Doha’s Hamad International airport.
The Swiss luxury watch manufacturer’s store, open until January 26 2016 before the retail concept journeys across the Middle East early in 2016, offers visitors a wide selection of timepieces.
“We are extremely pleased to have opened IWC’s first ever pop-up boutique in the Middle East at a destination as exclusive as Hamad International airport,” said IWC Schaffhausen regional brand director Luc Rochereau. “Connoisseurs can select from the finest timepieces from the brand, which will be available at this pop-up boutique.”
An eye-catching feature of the store is its new interior design, new materials and display arrangements that offer passengers a highly refined experience of Swiss “haute horlogerie”.
Qatar Duty Free senior vice president Keith Hunter added: “At Qatar Duty Free, we like to offer an experience to our customers, not just a product, which means collaborating with suppliers to innovate and to inspire travellers, and continuously striving to create and deliver unique concepts while responding to customers’ desires and needs.”
“Qatar Duty Free has built strong relationships with many of its suppliers, remaining open to innovation and encouraging collaboration and our strong partnership with IWC Schaffhausen has enabled us to support them in this project. Offering our customers world-leading brands and select promotions such as this creates a vibrant and globally recognised retail environment at Hamad International airport, enhancing Qatar Duty Free’s reputation as a world-class shopping hub.”
