Jura Single Malt Scotch Whisky has unveiled a bold, distinctive new direction for global travel retail with an exclusive range of four remarkable whiskies, due for launch in April 2018.
This commitment is set to build on the growth Jura has experienced, which has seen the brand rise to the no. 5 position in both European and Middle Eastern Travel Retail.
An inspired and innovative new range, the exclusive collection for global travellers is the only complete travel retail range that is enhanced in Sherry casks that previously held Pedro Ximénez (PX), and is also the first ever dedicated GTR range for Jura.
Comprised of four single malt whiskies, this represents the introduction of a new signature style for Jura. With subtle smoke at their heart, complimented by a sweetness from maturation in American White Oak ex-bourbon barrels, the unique character brings together the Highland and Island styles in perfect unity. For this range, the flavour is further enhanced by hand-selected Sherry casks that previously held Pedro Ximénez for 15, 20, 30 and 40 years. The result is a captivating journey of sweetness and intensity across the range, with the influence of Sherry lending intense fruit flavours at its youngest and a more mature, deep and complex flavour experience at its highest.

The Jura Sherry Cask Collection features:
• The Sound (42.5%ABV): single malt matured in American White Oak ex-bourbon barrels and enhanced with a sweet finish from hand-selected Sherry casks which previously held fifteen year old Pedro Ximénez. Antique gold in colour with aromas of hazelnuts and orange; caramel fudge to taste; and black forest fruits to finish
• The Road (43.6% ABV): single malt matured in American White Oak ex-bourbon barrels and enhanced with a warm finish from hand-selected Sherry casks which previously held twenty year old Pedro Ximénez. Autumn gold in colour with aromas of fresh apricots; rich coffee to taste; and cinnamon to finish
• The Loch (44.5% ABV): single malt matured in American White Oak ex-bourbon barrels and enhanced with a rich finish from hand-selected Sherry casks which previously held thirty year old Pedro Ximénez. Mahogany gold in colour with aromas of treacle; baked apple, to taste; and cracked pepper to finish
• The Paps 19 YO (45.6% ABV): 19 Year Old single malt matured in American White Oak ex-bourbon barrels and enhanced with a complex finish from hand-selected Sherry casks which previously held forty year old Pedro Ximénez. Deep mahogany gold in colour with aromas of ginger cake and vanilla; spiced pear to taste; roasted walnut to finish
The ascending ABV enables the character to evolve and develop, as well as impacting on the taste experience and mouth feel.
Celebrating the island of Jura’s most iconic and defining features, the collection draws on striking photography to capture the unique geography and character of the single malt’s home, while a taller, more elegant new bottle shape and a sturdier, more premium and contemporary carton design will ensure greater shelf stand-out.
The collection will roll out globally from April 2018.
