Lacoste has announced the opening of a new Travel Retail store in the Philippines, located in Terminal 3 of Manila Airport (Departure Area).
With this 142sqm store, Lacoste offers a premium shopping experience to both local and international travellers at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila.
“We are thrilled to open this store in Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport at Terminal 3, which further enhances our presence in Asia.” says Jean-Louis Delamarre – CEO Asia Pacific & Global Travel Retail.
This opening follows recent debuts at Shanghai (see story) and Delhi (see story) as the French brand extends its retail reach in airports around the world.
Terminal 3 (NAIA-3) is the newest and largest terminal in the NAIA complex. The terminal is capable of servicing 33,000 passengers daily at peak or 6,000 passengers per hour. A 220-meter long footbridge that opened in April 2017, known as Runway Manila, connects the terminal with Newport City. The bridge contains moving walkways and can accommodate about 2,000 persons at any given time.
Originally built in 1997, Terminal 3 only became fully operational on August 1, 2014, leading to the transfer of five international airlines to Terminal 3 to ease congestion at Terminal 1 starting with Delta Air Lines, KLM, Emirates, Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific.
