Lindt of Switzerland’s Easter collections and novelties for travellers in airport duty free and travel retail shops have been revealed.
The iconic LINDT GOLD BUNNY, enveloped in gold and adorned with a golden bell, will be making a welcome return. This much-loved classic makes an ideal gift for young and old, and is available in a range of sizes – 5x10g, 100g, 200g and 500g.
A colourful Easter-themed 250g carrier box containing LINDOR milk chocolate balls accompanied by some of the 10g GOLD BUNNY is available exclusively to the travel retail sector. Another travel retail exclusive outside of Switzerland is the 257g LINDOR Duetto. In a choice of spring-fresh yellow or lively-pink and topped with a bow, these bright-coloured cylinders contain LINDOR milk chocolate balls and a number of the 10g GOLD BUNNY. The line-up is completed by a cute 150g GOLD BUNNY nest, which features a 100g GOLD BUNNY snuggled among LINDOR eggs.
The range is complemented by a LINDOR Easter collection. Among a selection of suitably Spring-like chocolate creations are a classic 180g crystal-clear cylinder of eggs, and a gold-swathed 300g egg brimming with LINDOR chocolate balls.
Several airports will feature the LINDT GOLD BUNNY as a highlight of their seasonal displays. The GOLD BUNNY will star in ‘Mini Dress ups’ at São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro in partnership with Dufry do Brazil. Nuance will be showcasing the GOLD BUNNY at Geneva, Zurich and Hong Kong, as will SAR at Schiphol.
A firm favourite among LINDT’s product portfolio, the GOLD BUNNY made his first appearance in 1952. His story begins when the Master Chocolatier saw a little rabbit in his garden one bright spring morning. His young son was enchanted by the creature, but inconsolable when it hopped away into the bushes. And so the Chocolatier decided to create ‘a bunny, just like that’ out of chocolate. The GOLD BUNNY was made carefully from the finest milk chocolate, wrapped in golden foil and hand finished with a unique red ribbon and golden bell – just as he is today.
