L’Oreal brings DermaCenter skincare concept to airports

Announced last year, the L’Oreal travel retail team has been hard at work developing this unique in-store skincare concept for travellers around the world.

The opening of the 33 sqm door at the DFS T Galleria Chinachem in Hong Kong in November 2014 marked the global travel retail debut for Vichy and La Roche-Posay dermocosmetics brands and the Dermacenter concept. Since this successful opening several others have followed : Haitang Bay, Iguazu Downtown, Bangkok Downtown 1&2, Hong Kong-Hysan, Seoul Lotte, ….and more recently the very first counters in Travel Retail Europe at Oslo Airport.

The two 18sqm DermaCenter counters located at Oslo Departures and the Travel Value Shop are in prime locations, and are perfect illustrations of the premium retail expression the concept aim for. These are the first counters to be personalised with strong pharmaceutical codes and imagery, and are staffed by fully-trained skincare consultants.

L’Oreal say “Travel Retail exclusives are highlighted in all the DermaCenters implemented in Travel Retail. They provide a good opportunity for travelling consumers to discover all the best selling products and skincare routines from names such as Vichy, Aqualia Thermal and LiftActiv, and La Roche-Posay, Tolériane and Effaclar.”

More DermaCenter openings will be revealed in Travel Retail locations across Asia, Americas and Europe in late 2015 and 2016.
