Louis Vuitton presents the new collection with avant-garde Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, reinterpreting the Maison’s iconic pieces with the artist’s signature motifs.

The Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama campaign celebrates a 2023 capsule collection with the Japanese artist. A series of black and white images feature supermodels including Gisele Bundchen, Anok Yai, Karlie Kloss, Bella Hadid, Natalia Vodianova, and Christy Turlington. The cast also stars Liya Kebede, Rianne van Rompaey, Devon Aoki, He Cong, and Fei Fei Sun.

Celebrating the ongoing partnership between two of the world’s most renowned fashion icons, Louis Vuitton and Yayoi Kusama, this collection is a tribute to their shared admiration for creativity and craftsmanship. Every piece from this collaboration captures Kusama’s iconic polka dot motif in exquisite detail.

PAINTED DOTS
Inspired by a hand-painted Monogram trunk by Kusama from the first collaboration, the motif represents the bond between the artist and Louis Vuitton. The dots in the collection use a technique that gives the pattern a realistic hand-painted effect.

INFINITY DOTS
Yayoi Kusama’s ultimate signature, polka dots have always been a creative force, her way to infinity, senseless and unknowing, with their borderless shape. Kusama’s most recognisable motif, they animate Louis Vuitton’s iconic pieces.

METAL DOTS
Inspired by Yayoi Kusama’s groundbreaking installation at the 1966 Venice Biennale, her metal spheres have become iconic worldwide. Used in various sizes, the 3D metal half spheres enliven the collection, producing a jewellery-like silver mirror effect.

PSYCHEDELIC FLOWERS
Inspired by Yayoi Kusama’s 1933 “Flower” painting, the Psychedelic Flower theme translates a paradox between the ephemeral life of a flower and the infinity of endless dots. Through various interpretations, they add a hypnotic allure to the Maison’s designs.
