The Martell Single Estate Collection, a collection of three limited edition and luxurious XO cognacs produced from single estates (growth areas) in prestigious regions of Cognac, has launched in Asia Pacific Travel Retail and select U.S. airports. To celebrate the launch, Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail is creating in-airport experiences that introduce travellers to the families behind the estates and the distinct character of each expression.
For three centuries, the House of Martell has been firmly rooted in the soils of Cognac. Its founder, Jean Martell, extensively explored the region’s diverse terroirs in a quest for the very finest grapes. The launch of this new range, including Martell Single Estate Domaine de Charbonniere, Martell Single Estate Vignoble C. Mongillon (vintage 1989) and Martell Single Estate Vignoble A. Couillaud (vintage 1978), is evidence of the love for the land that Martell proudly keeps alive to this day and an invitation to explore the savoir-faire of the individual domains.
Produced in limited quantities, the cognacs are presented in elegantly understated bottles with intricately engraved labels and in exquisite boxes crafted from natural wood. The estates’ Cellar Master Christophe Valtaud selects only the most outstanding eaux-de-vie for the collection which, coupled with its luxurious presentation, made the Martell Single Estate cognacs the perfect gifts from one family to another this Mid-Autumn Festival.
Visitors to airports across Asia Pacific and the U.S. in October 2017 will be given the opportunity to discover the collection through sensorial experiences using copper pipes that emulate key tasting notes of each expression. The activations will also share information on each estate including the quality and character endowed by their locations, soil and climate.
