Burberry is set to launch a new edition of its Mr. Burberry fragrance – this time inspired by a bracing stroll along the English seaside.
Burberry is preparing the launch of Mr. Burberry Indigo in April – this new scent is decribed as a fresh, spring and casual edition of the original Mr. Burberry. Last year saw the release of Mr. Burberry Eau de Parfum as a more intense and warmer iteration – now this the new version turns the brand’s attention towards a more energetic and invigorating theme inspired by the fresh sea breeze of the English coast.
Mr. Burberry Indigo contains citruses with aromatic and woody notes. It is said to “represent a man who is in search of freedom and refreshment and new energy as a contrast to his hectic London life.”
Lemon and rosemary in the top lead to the aromatic heart of violet, leaf of violet and mint oil. The base is made of warmer amber accords and oak moss that provide depth to the composition. The creator of this line is master perfumer Francis Kurkdjian. The design of the bottle stays the same as previous editions and represents the iconic Burberry trench coat – but this time in the famous navy blue (or indigo as Burberry would call it). The face of the fragrance’s advertising campaign is once again Josh Whitehouse who was photographed on the English coast by Alasdair McLellan.
Mr. Burberry Indigo will be available as a 50, 100 and 150 ml Eau de Toilette from April 2018. We will keep you posted on it launch dates in duty-free shops around the world.
