The rich and fertile plains of central and northern Nicaragua, the Jalapa Valley, are where one will find the lush tobacco fields of the Oliva Cigar Company. It is the place where through the years we have mastered the craft of growing some of the world’s finest tobaccos and creating what cigar aficionados the world over consider some of the finest cigars.
2023 into 2024 was an extraordinary period of time as the region experienced an atypical weather pattern: reduced rainfall and historically high temperatures. While these conditions are certainly challenging for any region, the result was conditions ideal for our carefully selected tobacco varieties.
We are thankful for this rare gift from Mother Nature as it allowed us to share the bounty with cigar lovers, especially those that look forward to our annual Serie V Melanio Limitadas. At the Oliva Cigar Company we strive for perfection and it is our collective passion for this craft that allows us to achieve our goal.
