Inspired by Pat McGrath’s legendary makeup artistry, this exclusive collection of charms, rings, earrings and pendants captures creativity, beauty and individuality in every design.
Dame Pat McGrath has become perhaps the world’s most famous living makeup artist thanks to her out-of-the-box approach to beauty. Her molten gold lips illuminated Prada’s spring-summer 2016 runway, and her petal-like feather lashes enhanced Valentino’s spring 2019 couture fairy tale. Now, she’s sprinkling her pixie dust on an assortment of charms and rings for the Pandora x Pat McGrath collection.
The capsule debuts with 17 charms and rings inspired by her career spent bejewelling faces with strokes of metallics and crystals. McGrath-isms such as “Stunning my love” are etched in golden medallions accented with slivers of sparkling pink and red stones. Throughout the collection, bold pops of purple and red intermix with a base tint of gold. After all, the precious metal inspired her debut product for Pat McGrath Labs: a potent gold pigment, complete with a luminous powder and liquid mixing solution to replicate high-octane shine on the skin.
She worked closely with Pandora creative directors Francesco Terzo and A. Filippo Ficarelli to bring some of her favourite motifs into physical form. Since the brand is known for its charms, the trio dreamed up personal pieces imbued with her signature sparkle. There are pouty lip charms lacquered in glossy grape and crimson hues, a red heart cupped in a tiny hand with a red manicure, and a golden tube captured mid-squeeze with a scribble of crystal paint.
Her exacting eye as a makeup artist comes through in the small details. The Beating Heart charm gets granular with a blood-red anatomical heart embellished with pavé red crystals that gradually lighten to blush pink before branching into arteries of twinkling white stones. The reversible pendant is engraved with the word “Gorgeous” on the back with a single red stone underneath.
Like a well-stocked vanity, the assortment of charms, earrings, rings, and pendants runs the gamut of glamour, from diminutive lipstick charms to plump lip-shaped rings that pack a punch.
