A fresh wave of excitement came to Miami International Airport (MIA) this month with a dynamic pop-up activation, which spotlighted PATRÓN CRISTALINO, the brand’s latest super-premium innovation.
The month-long promotion not only celebrated the new crystal-clear, oak-aged PATRÓN expression but also reinforced the company’s commitment to reducing its impact on the environment by repurposing key structures from previous PATRÓN activations at MIA.
The sleek, circular tasting bar, adorned in the iconic white, green and gold palette of PATRÓN, invited travellers to sample PATRÓN CRISTALINO, a masterful blend of aged 100% Blue Weber agave añejo tequila filtered through charcoal for unparalleled smoothness. With notes of vanilla, caramel and oak, the expression is best served on the rocks or in curated cocktails, offering a sublime taste of Mexican artistry.
As the top-selling super-premium tequila in travel retail, with a 47% market share (IWSR 2024), PATRÓN continues to lead and elevate the category with innovations including PATRÓN CRISTALINO, which debuted in GTR earlier this year. Other recent high-end releases include PATRÓN El CIELO® and PATRÓN El ALTO®, both of which have performed well across the Americas duty-free market.
“PATRÓN CRISTALINO is redefining the fast-growing cristalino category and Miami Airport is the perfect stage to introduce it to discerning travelers,” said Geoff Biggs, Regional Director Americas, Bacardi Global Travel Retail. “By reusing our pop-up infrastructure, we’re proving that making sustainable choices and luxury can go hand in hand. It’s a virtuous circular business model we are hoping to use in promotions at other high-profile airport locations.”
