Irish gin brand Jawbox will celebrate Northern Ireland’s distillery scene at Belfast City Airport as part of its returning ‘That’s the Spirit’ campaign.
The week-long campaign will showcase select Northern Irish distilleries from 25 October to 1 November. Distillers participating alongside Jawbox this year include Basalt, Copeland and McConnell’s.
“It’s a brilliant platform for celebrating the quality, creativity and provenance of Northern Ireland’s growing spirits sector, while giving travellers the chance to discover the stories behind the brands being made here,” said Garry White, founder of Jawbox Gin.
“At Jawbox, quality, craftsmanship and tradition are at the heart of everything we do. Triple-distilled in small batches at our distillery just outside Belfast, our award-winning gin is rooted in Belfast’s rich industrial heritage and made with genuine character. Jawbox is a gin made to be shared, enjoyed and celebrated in good company.
“Being part of That’s the Spirit again allows us to build on the connections made through last year’s campaign, introduce even more travellers to Jawbox and give them the opportunity to take a taste of Northern Ireland with them.”
That’s the Spirit will give passengers the chance to sample premium products and meet the makers leading the region’s distilling renaissance.
Sampling will take place throughout the week at World Duty Free and the Aspire Lounge. Exclusive promotions will be available at The Artisan and Samson’s Kitchen and Bar.
Brand representatives will also be present to share tasting notes and insights about each bottle’s production.
“As an airport rooted in the heart of Northern Ireland, we are committed to celebrating the exceptional producers who are elevating Northern Ireland’s reputation on the global distilling stage,” said Caroline Rowan, head of commercial at Belfast City Airport.
“That’s the Spirit is about giving passengers a genuine taste of home through the craftsmanship and character that define our local distillers. We are excited to welcome a range of distillery brands this year, each bringing their own story and spirit to the terminal.”
All the spirits presented during the week, including gin, whiskey, vodka, rum, and liqueurs, will be available to buy from World Duty Free.
Rowan continued: “Here at Belfast City Airport, we’re proud to champion the outstanding local products we stock, and this initiative allows us to celebrate the distillers who pour passion into every batch. We look forward to welcoming those travelling through the airport to join us in October as we raise a glass to Northern Ireland’s world-class spirits.”
