L’Oréal Paris has announced its latest spokesperson is the supermodel Irina Shayk.
For those unfamiliar with the Russian beauty, Shayk has walked many a catwalk, including Marc Jacobs and Givenchy, she’s been shot by photographer Mario Testino, she starred in Kanye West’s music video Power, she dated Cristiano Ronaldo for years and now she’s with Bradley Cooper – and last year she made her acting debut in Hercules.
It’s not clear whether Shayk will be featured in the hair, make-up or skincare campaigns, but it is a given that the shoots will be strikingly beautiful. Shayk joins the stellar list of existing spokesmodels including Karlie Kloss, Julianne Moore, Naomi Watts and Eva Longoria.
The supermodel announced the news on her Instagram page and said she is “excited” and “honored” to team up with the French cosmetic company.
“To stand beside the likes of @jlo @juliannemoore, @evalongoria and Jane Fonda.. All icons, of whom I’ve looked up to, is a dream come true,” she wrote, namechecking a few of the brand’s previously spokesmodels. “There are some moments you will never forget, and I want to thank @chapuyc and the wonderful L’Oreal team from the bottom of my heart for what they’ve given me, and the beauty their brand inspires in so many.”
