Airports Company South Africa has confirmed it has taken Duty Free Shopping online, with their own portal – www.dutyfreeshopping.co.za. Acsa say the “easy-to-use portal gives international travellers the chance to buy exclusive confectionery, limited-edition whiskies, cognacs and big-name cosmetics brands in variations, editions, sizes and volumes which are often not available anywhere else in South Africa.”
‘Shop online and collect at the airport’
Dutyfreeshopping.co.za allows visitors travelling through Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport to make Duty Free purchases online – a minimum of 72 hours before departure – and collect their items at the airport on departure, for the very first time.
“We’re delighted to be able to offer travellers to South Africa an even more convenient way to shop and take a little piece of Africa home with them,” says Acsa.
The largest store within the OR Tambo International Airport Duty Free mall, Big Five Duty Free, is the launch partner for the portal and shoppers can “expect exclusive deals on brands from Lindt to Ferrero Rocher and Johnnie Walker to Amarula, and great cosmetics from Aramis, Givenchy and Dior.”
“The collection point for orders is at the main Big Five Duty Free store at OR Tambo’s International Departures area. There, customers will be able to quickly and easily collect their pre-packed purchases before jetting off to their international destination.”
